Presenter Bios: Alyse Jordan is an Associate Librarian at Arizona State University at the Charles Trumbull Hayden Library.  She holds a doctorate in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a Master of Science in Information Studies, and a Specialist in Education degree in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University.  Her research examines formal mentoring in the workplace and cultural identity.  She participated in the inaugural 2007 American Library Association Emerging Leader and 2012 Harvard Institu

What's New for You in AzLA Professional Development – July 2020 NEW! AzLA PD Monthly Webinar Series. Please join us for Horner Fellowship Experience with Ashley Gohr on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 1 pm. Since 1989, under the Horner Fellowship, over 20 librarians from Japan and Arizona have had the opportunity to travel abroad to foster cultural understanding and to facilitate informational exchanges. In October 2019, Michelle “Ashley” Gohr went to Japan to visit public and academic libraries and museums and colleagues to study international perspectives of justice, activism, and hate speech, and the role libraries and educational institutions play in education and support of marginalized students/community, social justice, and human rights. In this webinar, she’ll be sharing her cultural and research related experiences on the trip as well as information about the Horner Fellowship opportunity.
