Please join us for Horner Fellowship Experience with Ashley Gohr on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 1 pm. Since 1989, under the Horner Fellowship, over 20 librarians from Japan and Arizona have had the opportunity to travel abroad to foster cultural understanding and to facilitate informational exchanges. In October 2019, Michelle “Ashley” Gohr went to Japan to visit public and academic libraries and museums and colleagues to study international perspectives of justice, activism, and hate speech, and the role libraries and educational institutions play in education and support of marginalized students/community, social justice, and human rights. In this webinar, she’ll be sharing her cultural and research related experiences on the trip as well as information about the Horner Fellowship opportunity.
